So what’s my story, you ask? Why would you come to someone like me for help on health and fitness?
I’m a busy mom of two kids who are really awesome, but also very exhausting and like to whine and therefore I like to drink wine. I have challenges just like everyone else to achieve my health and fitness goals – busy life, traveling husband, picky eaters, long days, just wanting to sit on the couch and watch “Blue Bloods.” But I also want to be a great role model to my kids and show them that their bodies are amazing, that they can do great things, and that they need to take care of themselves to be happy and healthy.
But how do I start in my health journey?
In my ‘former’ life (life before marriage and kids), I was an NCAA Academic All-American swimmer, Olympic Trials qualifier, and year-round swimmer. Yep, I was IN SHAPE. Fast-forward several years and I was a wife and mom of two young kids – I was happy, but had little energy, no time to myself anymore, and generally felt overwhelmed.
I ‘used’ to be an athlete, and I wanted that feeling back
I thought about my life as an athlete. I wanted to feel proud of myself again; I wanted to work hard and achieve a goal again; I wanted to be able to use my body any way I wanted without feeling sore and old. At times I thought: “I’m too young to feel this old!”
SO I did something about it.
I started T25 and I felt like that athlete again – back in shape, eating right, my body not letting me down. But not only that, I had more energy to play with my kids, I was happier, I felt accomplished setting a goal and achieving it. I was so impressed with the program and with all the workouts, I decided to become a coach and help others get to their health and fitness goal. I loved my new role so much that I took it one step further and became a certified group fitness instructor through ACE.

Make it a lifestyle
I make healthy living a lifestyle. I have competed in over a dozen open water races, a full marathon, a half-marathon, and one triathlon (that darn bike kills me!) I’m also an ACE-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Beachbody coach, and simply passionate about health and fitness.
I’m not all about health and fitness.
There is more to me than fitness. Some interesting facts about me:
*I’ve flown with the Blue Angels in an F-18 (amazing)
*I have lived in South Korea
*I have a slight obsession with the boy band, New Kids on the Block
*I have kissed Donnie Wahlberg not once, not twice, but FOUR times (see previous line)
*I have my splurges and love Papa John’s pizza, Chick-fil-A, Reese’s Cups, and cinnamon rolls
*I can’t wink
*I live in yoga pants
